The leadership program for ninth grade students begins with our trip to Merrowvista Camp in Tuftonboro, New Hampshire. This overnight trip is scheduled for the first weekend of fall term: Friday, September 6 through Sunday, September 8.
Program Overview:
The Merrowvista class trip will be facilitated by American Youth Foundation staff members and Fay faculty. The trip consists of leadership skill-building activities, trust formation experiences, and low and high element ropes course team challenges. For over a decade, this leadership experience has been an important element of Fay’s ninth grade program: it is a powerful bonding experience and marks the beginning of their ninth grade at Fay. The trip will be led by Wellness Department Chair Heidi Qua and Ninth Grade Class Dean Joe Buteau.
Students will receive more information during the first days of school.
Boarding students should make sure to bring a sleeping bag with them when they come to Fay. Ninth graders will be using the sleeping bags again for the end-of-year trip.
