Try It! Volleyball

Saturday, September 28 from 9:00 - 10:00 AM

Is your child curious about volleyball and looking for a chance to try the sport? This introductory experience for ages 8-12 is the perfect first exposure!

Come learn a few of the fundamental skills, basic rules, and tactics from Fay's Head Volleyball coach, Jack Wong, and our varsity team captains. Participants will learn how to serve, pass, block, and more during this fun and engaging 60 minute session!

Event Details

Cost: Free!

Who Can Attend: The program is designed for 8-12 year olds. Parents and guardians are welcome to stay for the event, but are not required to do so. A release form will be required if parents/guardians do not stay.

What to Bring: All equipment will be provided by Fay School, but participants should bring their own water bottle. 

Parking: Please park in Harlow Circle, which can be accessed via Fay School's East Entrance. Click here for directions to the East Entrance, located at 23 Middle Road in Southborough, MA. If you use Apple Maps, please note that this address will take you to an incorrect location that is on the other side of the Sudbury Reservoir. If using GPS navigation, we suggest that you use Google Maps. 

Location: The event will take place inside Fay's Harlow Gym.

Meet our Coach

Jack Wong is a physical education teacher in Fay's Primary School as well as the Early Learning Center. He is also Fay's varsity volleyball coach this fall. During the summer, he is FaySummer's sports and games coordinator.

Prior to joining the Fay community, Jack was a volunteer within the Southborough youth sports community as a basketball and soccer coach as well as the Director of the Southborough Youth Soccer league. He has also worked at the MetroWest YMCA in Framingham as a sports instructor, league coordinator, and Y-nite counselor. Jack enjoys working with kids and believes that every child has the ability to excel in sports given the correct environment.
