• What is the Gala?

  The Fay Gala is the Families Association’s primary fundraiser and community-builder, and it takes place every other year. It is our opportunity as members of the Fay community to financially support the School and ensure the continuation of programs that enrich our children’s experiences at Fay. Please note that this is an adults-only event.

• How can I help?

  Attendance - Join us at the Spring Gala!   Not only will you be supporting a worthy cause, but you will have a chance to bid on amazing items.

   

  Time - Give of Yourself!   Help parents from all grade levels plan a successful event.  We have many opportunities to fit your time and talent, especially on the day and evening of event. • How can I contribute to the Gala if I am unable to attend?

  We encourage all Fay parents to be part of this wonderful community even if you are unable to join us in person. There are several ways for you to do so: donate an item or experience to the auction, host a faculty member, or be a Gala sponsor. Your support is appreciated!

• If I am unable to attend the auction, can I still bid?

  Parents who are unable to attend will have the opportunity to place sealed bids. If you are interested in making a sealed bid, please contact Anne Hart at anne.l.hart@gmail.com or Vinita Saluja at atulnvinita@gmail.com.

• What is the dress attire for the Gala?

  The dress code for this year's event is festive Kentucky Derby attire....your favorite hat or fascinator encouraged but not required!

• Is there an open bar?

  There will be an offering of a signature drink on a first-come, first served basis during the cocktail reception. Wine will be included with your meal. A selection of beers, wine, and cocktails will be available for purchase with a credit card at the event.

• Is there a vegetarian selection for dinner?

  We have a wonderful menu planned for your dining experience. If you would prefer a vegetarian, allergen-free, or gluten-free meal, one will be available at your request. Please inform us prior to the Gala as advance notice will help us plan accordingly.

• What is the Quickie Board?

  The Quickie Board is a timed-auction format that allows you to bid competitively on items listed on a board. The Quickie Board will be running during the silent auction and will contain many unique and exciting items and experiences.

• How do I pay for the item(s) purchased at the event?

  Some alcoholic beverages can be purchased with a credit card at the event. All raffle and auction items will be purchased with a credit card through our Our Cause auction service. Please set up your one Cause account here prior to the Gala for a seamless experience.

• Can I use my child’s Blackbaud Tuition account to pay for my auction purchases?

  No, all auction items will be purchased with a credit card through our One Cause auction service. Please set up your One Cause account here prior to the Gala for a seamless experience.

• Can I preview auction items prior to the Gala?

  Yes. Once your One Cause account has been set up, you will be able to view all of the auction items prior to the event.
