Computers and Supply Lists

Computers: Requirements & Policy

List of 3 items.

  • Lower School

    Students in grades 3 through 6 are not required to bring their own laptops or tablets. All necessary technology is provided and supported by Fay School. 
  • Upper School

    Students in grades 7 through 9 are required to bring their own Windows or Apple laptops to school for use during the academic day. iPads, Chromebooks, and other mobile devices are not sufficient for the Upper School academic curriculum.

    Important Notes:
    - Virtual Private Networks (VPNs) are strictly prohibited in the Family and Student Handbook and their use will cause inoperability with on-campus technology resources.
    - All computers must have anti-virus software installed.

    For computer technology and antivirus software purchases, Fay School has partnered with GovConnection to allow you to purchase recommended technology at a discounted price. Visit the program webpage at: https://www.govconnection.com/fayschool

  • Acceptable Use Policy

    • Use of the School’s technology, including laptops, Chromebooks, iPads, and email must adhere to the Acceptable Use Policy as written in the Family and Student Handbook.
    • School-owned resources are to be used for educational purposes only.
    • Students are responsible for looking after their personal technology.
    • Virtual Private Networks (VPNs) are prohibited for use by students on Fay campus.
    • Cell phones may not be used during the school day.

School Supplies Lists

List of 4 items.

  • Primary School

    Primary School students should bring the following items to school each day:

    • a backpack
    • a reusable water bottle with the student's name clearly labeled
    All additional supplies will be provided in the classroom.
  • Lower School

    Lower School students will be issued a trapper, pencil case, and planner.

    Students will need to bring to school:
    • a backpack
    • a reusable water bottle with the student's name clearly labeled
    All additional supplies will be provided in the classroom.
  • Upper School

    Students should bring the following supplies:

    A sturdy book bag or backpack, marked with the student’s name (the bag must fit into lockers that are 23” high, 17” wide, and 10” deep)

    A sturdy Five Star, 2" Zipper Binder with 6 pocket expanding file. A similar Case It binder is also acceptable.

    A reusable water bottle with the student's name clearly labeled

    Notebook for individual subject classes. A graphing notebook for mathematics will be provided by the School.

    All additional supplies will be provided in the classroom.
  • Fay School Store

    The Fay School Store sells binders, paper, pens, pencils and other school supplies. Students can visit the store Monday-Friday during the school day and purchases will be billed to their Blackbaud Tuition Management account.
