Please note that Clubs must have a minimum enrollment to run. If a program has low enrollment, students will be able to transfer to another Club or receive a refund. Also, Clubs meet once per week, from 3:00 - 4:30 pm.

  • Art Club: Character Creators - Grades K - 1

    Calling all budding artists, join us for an arts & crafts class based on children's favorite TV shows, movies, and characters. Past weekly themes have included Despicable Me, The Peanuts Movie, Inside Out, Bluey, Frozen, Peppa Pig, Elephant & Piggie, The Gruffalo, and Cars, to name a few. Children will take inspiration from their favorite characters to create masterpieces!

  • Karate Club - Grades K - 2

    Our Karate Club helps develop teamwork, balance, control, discipline, focus, memory, coordination, and fitness by using fun karate drills and exercises. These skills will ultimately benefit students in school and at home. During the club, students can work to earn their white belt or a stripe to add to their white belt if they already have one. Beginners welcome!

  • Robotics Extravaganza - Grades 2 - 3

    During this robotics club, students will deepen their understanding of robotics as they follow instructions to build various models with LEGO® WeDo 2.0 kits. With a partner, they will build and combine simple machines, exploring the utility of gears and axles. Later, using the companion application and picture-block coding, they will connect through Bluetooth to their robot and bring it to life! Your student will be challenged in fun ways that will captivate their interest and grow their knowledge of the fundamentals of robotic design.

  • Sewing Club - Grades 2 - 4

    During this club, students will learn the basics of the sewing machine (including safety!) as well as some different hand stitches. They will use new skills to sew some creative projects, including bags, stuffed animals, and accessories. Each project will take about 2-3 classes to complete, and students will be able to take their creations home when they are finished.

    No experience is necessary - beginners are welcome.

  • Theater & Improv - Grades 3 - 4

    Does your child love acting and want to learn how to improvise like a pro? Our Theater and Improv club is the perfect place to start! Students will explore the fundamentals of improvisational theater and learn how to think on their feet. They will develop their acting skills through fun exercises and games, as well as learn the art of "Yes And" – a technique that encourages collaboration and creativity. Whether they are a seasoned actor or a beginner, this class will help your child develop confidence and creativity on stage. They will also get to do some stage design!

  • Hip Hop Pop Stars - Grades K - 1

    Join us this winter for a new pop star themed hip hop movement club! Each session will begin with a warm up and will include skill building and technique instruction, pop star themed dance choreography, and a cool down. Throughout the term, students will learn multiple dances to music from their favorite stars and will master level 1 hip hop skills (stance, bounces down/side to side, isolations, marches, party jump, party turn, style walks, step touch, step together, step clap, jump wave, and raise the roof).

    Only edited music will be played during the club.

  • Kitchen Creations - Grades K - 1

    Get ready to roll up your sleeves and make winter deliciously creative! During this club, students will create an edible winter wonderland every week. They will make an igloo paradise for a penguin, a frosty tree farm, and even a winter wonderland cake. Students will be able to take all of their creations home to enjoy.

    During this club, students are taught using a curriculum integrating traditional method books and computer software to allow students to learn at their own pace. Daily practice at home is expected and is essential to student progress. There will be a recital scheduled at the end of the spring to showcase the skills developed.

  • Design & Build: Masterpieces - Grades 3-4

    Edgar Degas, a French Impressionist artist famous for his pastel drawings and oil paintings, once said, "Art is not what you see, but what you make others see."

    During this club, your child will learn about Edgar Degas, as well as other artists, and artistic movements throughout history. They will interpret what they see and create their own works of art using LEGO® bricks. Through this interactive Art History club, students will learn about Da Vinci’s Mona Lisa, Van Gogh’s Starry Night, Wright’s Falling Water, and many more.

  • Fencing Club - Grades 3 - 4

    We are excited to bring this brand new club to Extended Fay that will teach the basic elements of fencing! During the club, students will develop their balance, posture, focus, and mental and physical self-control. Fencing beginners, or those with experience, are welcome to join this club. Fencing's strategic character allows different body types, heights, and personalities to develop their own style of the game. It is equally suited for girls and boys. It is one of the safest sports around, as fencers are fully protected by their uniforms at all times.

    All fencing equipment and uniforms are provided; students need to bring sneakers, athletic pants, a shirt, and a water bottle.

  • Robotics FUNdamentals - Grades K - 1

    In this Kinderbots Robotics program, students will begin to explore the world of robotics as they build simple models that teach the fundamentals of mechanical design with LEGO® WeDo 2.0 kits. Students will learn about different sensors while building drills and magic wands. They'll even discover ways that gears and pulleys create movement while building helicopters and robotic dogs. When it all comes to life with picture-block coding and Bluetooth technology, kids have so much fun they don't realize they're learning!

  • Sports Club: Fun & Games - Grades K - 2

    Get up, get going, and get active during our Multi-Sport club. F.A.S.T. Athletics will offer a variety of sports each week, such as soccer, kickball, basketball, dodgeball, pillo polo hockey. Programs will include proper stretching and warm-up games as well as learning basic skills of each sport, each class will end with a high energy game with the sport played that day.

  • Chess Club - Grades K - 4

    During this club, expert instructors will provide informative and challenging chess lessons to students. Chess teaches children many important life concepts, such as the ability to win graciously and accept defeat with dignity and sportsmanship. Students will be divided into groups according to their age and chess experience. The program will include strategy, lessons, games, and even a mini-chess tournament.

  • Knitting Club - Grades 2 - 4

    Have you ever wanted to learn how to knit? Now is your chance! Knitting helps children practice mindfulness, persevere through challenges, and strengthen their fine motor skills. In this club, students will learn beginner knitting skills and complete a project based on their skill level.

    Practice at home is encouraged but not required.
